Please join us at Prospect City Hall on Saturday, January 27th between 11 am and 12 pm for the first in a series of lectures sponsored by the Prospect Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee.  All ages are invited!

Our first lecture features Mr. Jacob Crider, Educator, and Naturalist for the Creasey Mahn Nature Preserve.  Mr. Crider is a graduate of the University of Louisville where he earned a degree in Sustainability, and he is currently on the Board of Directors for the Louisville Audubon Society.

Mr. Crider will be discussing Bluegrass Geology, Kentucky's Geological Regions, and Geologic History.  Other topics like fossils, geomorphology, rock types, wildlife, caves, and much more will also be presented.

If the weather permits we will investigate the nearby trails and creek to view local geology in the field so please dress accordingly if you plan to participate. The field trip will take place after the inside presentation.
